exploring latent lives within objects—challenging anthropocentric frameworks by imagining a world where animate and inanimate beings coexist in autonomy. It foregrounds the anatomical and structural essence of objects beyond human mediation, proposing speculative ecologies of coexistence in a post-COVID world. Astha Butail presented a meticulous installation centered on miniature prototype book objects, aligning with her long-standing engagement with oral traditions, mythic structures, and embodied systems of memory and transmission
Her work invoked Rig Vedic metaphors and oral histories—reimagined as physical archives shaped by structure and scale—bringing attention to knowledge systems beyond linear textual records.
